Back in Brunswick Heads, Australia

Hello Yoga In The House readers!  There have been some significant changes at Yoga In The House in the last month, which is why my blog fell of the face of the Earth for the past few weeks.  My family, the Finchscotts, have relocated to Brunswick Heads, Australia.  We were here visiting about two months ago, and had started formulated a potential plan to move here for September 2012...of course, as life has it, we left Australia just over a month ago with a serious souvenir, expecting our third child.  As such, we decided to pull up all stops to make an attempt to move down to Aus, as it felt right.

The last month has been a fantastic whirlwind, everyday I've counted my blessings for a yoga practice, which mainly concentrated on remembering to take plenty of time to breath over the past month.  Yesterday we arrived in Australia, and today find ourselves listening to the local Gallas and Cockatoos of the Byron Shire.

For those of you who are interested, Brunswick Heads is about 15mins north of Byron Bay.  The area is alive with a strong grassroots community, which includes wonderful access to lots of inspiring and different styles of yoga, great locally grown organic and biodynamic food, lots of sustainable living initiatives and a strong, loving heart and spirit in the locals.  Where we are staying currently is about 2km from the Ocean, and 6 km from the Rainforest.  Today I did a little bit of learning about a lot of the different types of beasties that can kill you or make you sick....great!  All with a grain of salt, right?!  Anyhow, we feel very much at home already and are excited about this new adventure.

I will likely keep blogging, mostly from a yoga perspective, but will also use this blog platform to share other types of experiences we have here in Byron Shire over the next while.

Thanks for reading!

Jenelle
